LOCAL THRIFT STORE CONTINUES TO BOOM IN SPITE OF THE ECONOMY

Tucked into the corners of the foothills of western North Carolina is the Tryon Seventh-day Adventist Church Community Services Center. Since it beginnings, the Center has helped countless thousands of people who reside in the area. Through the years, the capable leadership has caused it to grow, develop and expand to what it is today.

Today, it is one of the finest thrift stores in the community, providing an ample display of health foods and quality clothing. at a time when many stores of it’s kind are complaining that donations and sales are at an all time low. Unlike many of the others, clothing and miscellaneous items are donated daily at a surprising and alarming rate. The store stays fully stocked, thanks to a very small dedicated staff. The items offered in the store are of the best quality and nothing with stains or damage is hung. The community has expressed their appreciation of the recently organized way they can find their exact size so quickly. Many thrift stores leave this convenient step off, creating confusion for the customers. Clothing is priced at ridiculously low user-friendly prices to suit any pocketbook and many items are available to the public at no cost.

The store is very impressive as it stands right now. A warm, welcoming atmosphere pervades as colorful decor greets the eye. Two dressing rooms with mirrors allow for guests to try on clothes if they desire. The volume of clothing and the popularity of the store has consistently increased and up-coming plans for expansion are expected in the near future.

The store staff wish to thank the community for their continued donations and support as the Tryon Seventh-day Adventist Thrift Store continues to expand and serve the public. You may visit the store located on Hwy. 108 at 2820 Lynn Road in Tryon. The store hours are Sun, Mon, Tue, Thu, 9:00 a.m.-3:00 p.m. and Wed. 9:00 a.m. - 1:00 p.m. Special appointments can be arranged for groups.
